Paneer chilli

I make and try to share simple recipes with basic ingredients which everyone must be having at their homes.

Note:- (*) mark after ingredients means it can be skipped but if added will obviously be good.

Paneer chilli is indo-chinese dish which takes its essence from chinese cuisine but taste from Indian masala. Every kid's love this tastes best with noodles, fried rice or indian bread(naan, kulcha).Let's see how to make it

Paneer Chilli(dry and gravy)


(For 3-4 people)

1. Paneer - 200gm


2. Capsicum - 1 small sized
3. Onion* - 3 medium sized
4. Garlic* - 5-6 cloves
5. Green chillies - 4-5


6. Red tomato sauce
7. Green chilli sauce
8. Soya sauce
9. Schezwan sauce*
9. Vinegar*
10. Black pepper powder - 2 teaspoon
11. Salt - 3/4 tablespoon or as per taste
12. Black salt - 1 teaspoon

13. Refined oil


1. Cut your paneer into cubes and shallow fry them and keep aside.
2. Similarly chop your capsicum and 2 onion into big pieces and fry them and keep aside.
3. Take a pan and put some oil into it.
4. Finely Chop your onion and garlic and put into it.
5. Slice your green chillies into half and put into it.
6. Saute them for 2 minutes on high flame.
7. Add tomato sauce(1.5 tablespoon, chilli sauce(1/2 tablespoon), very little soya sauce(1/2 teaspoon) and schezwan chutney(1 spoon). You can change quantity of sauces as per taste but keep soya sauce very less or it will destroy taste.
8. Add 1 tsp vinegar.It can be skipped but try not to.
9. Add salt, black salt and black pepper powder.
10. Now if u want to keep it dry then add paneer, capsicum and onions to it that you kept aside.
11. If u want gravy then add little water and its ready.
12. Serve very delicious paneer chilli.
